D.Y. Patil College of Nursing situated at Kadamwadi, Kolhapur, was started in the year 2006 with B.Sc Nursing programme, followed by P.B.B.Sc Nursing was started in the year 2009, M.Sc. Nursing programme was started in 2012 with one specialty, later in 2014 added with other specialties. Namely, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Obstetrics & Gynecology Nursing, Mental Health Nursing & Community Health Nursing, five students in each specialty. This college is approved by Government of Maharashtra, Indian Nursing Council and Maharashtra Nursing Council. D. Y. Patil College of Nursing is a constituent unit of D. Y. Patil Education Society (Deemed to be University), Kolhapur. The curriculum has been planned to provide in depth knowledge to enable the graduates to function effectively in various nursing situations, also prepare to assume the role of teacher, supervisor and manager in clinical/public health setting.
We give personal attention to each student and emphasize on etiquettes, maintain high degree of discipline and abide the code of conduct which reflects the dignifying behavior in the campus.
Extra Curricular activities are carried out like NSS,NCC Unit, Blood donation, National Health Days celebration, pulse polio, sports, social gathering & various competitions to show their talents and skills.
